Who is responsible

Golden Koi is operated by YCX Group, Sydney, Australia, which is responsible for your personal information on this site. Questions or requests: support@goldenkoi.trade.

What you give us

Your first name and family name, gender, birth date, and if you choose, birth time and birth city. Your email address when you buy, subscribe, or ask us to email you something. A Chinese name or name meanings if you enter them, and anything you write to us when asking for help or a refund.

What is collected automatically

Your IP address (for security, rate limits and fraud prevention), basic browser information, and the page that sent you to us, counted in daily totals. We do not use advertising trackers.

Payments

Payments are made through Stripe. Stripe receives your card details and shares with us your email, country and payment status. We never see or store your full card number.

How we use it

To calculate your chart and write your profile and readings; to send the emails you ask for (your readings, your profile, your daily reading); to take payments, give refunds and answer support requests; to keep the site safe; and to understand, in totals, which pages people use. We send occasional notes about Chinese culture only if you ticked that box, and every such email has an unsubscribe link.

Legal basis (EEA and UK visitors)

We use your information to provide the service you asked for (contract), to send optional notes (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time), and to keep the site secure and improve it (our legitimate interests).

Who helps us

We share only what each service needs: Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting and storage), Zoho ZeptoMail (email delivery, Australian data centre), and OpenAI and Cloudflare Workers AI (writing the text of readings from your chart details and first name; under their API terms this data is not used to train their models). We do not sell your personal information. These providers may process data outside your country under their own safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Paid readings and order details: about 13 months, so you can reopen your reading and ask for help. Golden Koi Daily: while you are subscribed and up to 13 months after. Emails waiting to be sent: up to 30 days. Optional notes list: until you unsubscribe. Your free profile details travel in the page link so you can reopen or share it; anyone you give that link to can see them.

Cookies and local storage

We use one small cookie (gk_code) to remember a promo code for up to 30 days. Your browser's local storage keeps your profile, font choice and list of readings on your own device so you don't have to type them again; you can clear it at any time in your browser settings. No advertising cookies.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your information, withdraw consent, or object to how we use it. Email support@goldenkoi.trade and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or your local data protection authority.

Security

Data is stored with Cloudflare and protected in transit with HTTPS. Access is limited to what is needed to run the service.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. Significant changes will be shown on the site.
